Synopsis

Akiko is a deity tied to mimicry, and as such possesses the ability to change their appearance at will, giving them differing forms, be they male or female. What form they choose to take is wholly dependent on mood; brighter moods may lead to an upbeat boy or cheery girl while darker moods may lead to a dreary teenage boy or grumpy girl. Like many gods, they do possess a ‘true’ form. This is not the same as their Divine Forms, which would destroy anyone who looked upon them should the victim not be another divine or holy being. This ‘true’ form is a default appearance for each gender, meaning it's what they revert to when they're not purposely utilizing an alternate form. Amelia Seyruun [The Slayers] is the faceclaim for her female form while Lucifer [The Devil is a Part Timer] is the faceclaim for his male form.

As already referenced, while in female form they go by "She" and while in male form they go by "He". When referred to overall they just go with "They/Them/Their".

Personality

Akiko can be kind, polite and humble. But also adventerous, curious, sarcastic and very eccentric. Once they become friends with a person, they'll always be there. They're incredibly loyal and will only go back on their stance if the person in question turns out not to be who they thought they were. They're also amazingly intelligent and insightful, often picking up small details about people or objects that others tend to miss.

While Akiko may seem at first to possess the patience of a saint, this is not always the case. In fact there are plenty of things that may try their patience, such as missing their favorite TV show, dealing with people who are openly rude, or being told how to live their life. Things such as these are instant mood-killers and may very well turn Akiko into the most grumpy person on the planet. When they're in a mood like this, tread carefully. Even the smallest thing could set them off on a ranting tirade- and in this kind of state Akiko is not the most saintly. They are prone to excessive profanities and blunt, hurtful statements. Like anyone else, however, once they calm down they tend to apologize for any negative actions they may have taken while down in the dumps.

Akiko has proven themselves to be quite perverted. They have a fondness for girls with big breasts, to the point that their female forms tend to sport them. They've mused that this part of them might be genetic, due to the numerous other gods out there also having a boner for attractive girls.

Combat Info

Resurrective Immortality: As a Deity, Akiko can't die. Well, they can, but so long as the concept of Mimicry exists in some shape or form, they'll simply come back to life shortly after they've "died."

Divine Power: As a Deity they hold divine power that can purify any creature of darkness. It's this that gives them their Godly aura and ability to create barriers. Though they're capable of toning it down at will so they don't accidentally fry every youkai or demon they come across.

Magic Power: Akiko's magical essence is, in short, immense. When exerted, it can force any mere mortal to the ground and even some lesser deities to their knees. And yet, none of the mortals are able to truly comprehend it. The magical prowess of a Deity isn't something a mortal mind can easily understand, with only a select few being able to vaguely judge the full overwhelming scale of their might. The only way to fully understand it is to be another Deity or some other being of great power.

Aura: Akiko's magical aura only manifests when they are actively utilizing their power, taking on the form of a whirling vortex of sparking purple electricity circulating rapidly around their body.

God Sense: As a Deity they’re capable of hearing prayers. Think of it like a dog whistle of sorts, even if they're across the city they can hear them and come to the person's aid. Well, as long the prayer isn't a mundane and stupid one anyway.

Life Sense: Akiko can detect any signs of life within a miles radius of themselves. They can also determine whether they're human or otherwise depending on the type of signal they give out. Though they can only identify what species they are if they've run into them before. Naturally this does not work on beings who are completely artificial and thus do not give off life energy.

Mimicry: Face -
This ability allows them to change their appearance, attire and voice to flawlessly match whoever they want. Be it fictional characters, people they know, people they've only seen once. Even the dead can be replicated. The only thing they can’t change is their personality; after all they don’t know how a person ticks on the inside. Though if they knew a person well enough they could probably pull off pretending to be them.

Mimicry: Skills - An ability that lets them mimic the abilities of others. Any attack they witness they can reproduce, but they will almost always be weaker. That is unless Akiko has a higher base attribute than that person. For example, a punching technique from a skilled boxer could be mimicked by them and result in a stronger attack than the boxer because they are inherently stronger than him. Most special techniques will be weaker than the original and more often than not they’ll have trouble because copying and knowing how an ability works are two different things. As it stands, the more basic an ability is, the easier it is for them to mimic it. Complex abilities like Goku's Spirit Bomb or Luffy's Gear Third would likely be difficult for them, while less complex moves like Goku's Kamehameha or Ichigo's Getsuga Tenshou would be easier.

Mimicry: Armament - By their divine nature and their ability to mimic, Akiko can produce any weapon they have ever seen. They can summon it at will and use it to their advantage. With the ability to cycle through weapons as if they were flipping through a book, they can adapt to any situation and more or less become incredibly unpredictable. Though it should be noted that while they can summon and use these weapons, it doesn't mean they're good with them. Their skill lies in swordplay, so guns and axes and other such weapons would naturally be difficult for them to use.

Mimicry: Structure - Another aspect of their divine Mimicry. Akiko is able to recreate any structure or object they've seen before, no matter how big or small. The materials are simply conjured out of thin air, fed by their magic. As a result, ultra-rare objects or constructs made of rare materials may be far more taxing to recreate than something common, say, a refridgerator. It helps to also know what the object is made of, or else they have to make a guess. While this ability can be a bit of a headache for even them to wrap their head around, it has proved extremely useful. From conjuring houses out of nothing to creating clothing and even a full course meal- Akiko is never truly without food or shelter. Definitely makes it easier to travel. All of home's luxuries are merely a simple finger's snap away.

Wing Chun Master: Akiko is a Master of the Martial Art known as Wing Chun. Created long ago by the Martial Arts Master Ng Mui, she developed the style to make up for her small stature and lack of strength, utilizing her superior speed and precise strikes to take down much bigger opponents. It is an art that focuses on simultaneous offense and defense, delivering brutal strikes to the body’s weak points in quick succession. Such as the ears, neck, joints and stomach.

Rather than rely on flashy movements, Wing Chun is very grounded and practical, making it very useful in taking down opponents without much strain on the user. The most important aspect is to always step inwards and disrupt your opponent’s balance, making it hard for them to defend against your strikes and counterattack. It is the perfect style for those who aren’t inherently strong yet still wish to be able to hold their own against any opponent. Of course, in Akiko’s case, their strength and speed just makes the style even more frightening.

Strength: Akiko is powerful, there’s no denying that. When you’re capable of singlehandedly storming an enemies base by punching down their defensive steel walls with little effort, you’re certainly not one to be trifled with. Their most impressive feat was when they picked up the remains of a hundred story skyscraper with one hand and used it as a weapon.

Speed: Akiko is an incredibly fast fighter who is capable of zipping through the battlefield at speeds that transcend light itself.

Agility: Akiko is very quick on their feet, allowing them to change directions flawlessly even in the midst of high speed combat. With the kind of speed they have, it was sort of required that they'd train themselves to be agile otherwise they'd risk tripping over their own feet or running straight into walls.

Sense:
Akiko has been shown to have an incredibly potent sixth sense. This is shown when they saw through an amazingly realistic illusion without much effort at all. It takes more than fancy lights and sounds to trick them. But their sixth sense isn’t the only one that’s extraordinary. Sight, Smell, Hearing, Touch and Taste. All of these are enhanced far beyond that of a normal human. They can see near-perfectly in the dark, hear things half a mile away in perfect clarity, etc. These are but some of the perks that one gains by being a Deity.

Expert Swordsmanship:
Akiko has trained in the art of swordsmanship and while their style isn’t exactly refined; it gets the job done. Their preferred type of sword is a wooden bokkuto stating that’s light but durable and easy to carry around without getting odd looks.

Teleportation: A staple of their godly nature. They're capable of zipping from one side of the world to the other in an instant. It’s also usable for shorter ranges as well. They can also take others along for the ride. Although doing so requires them to make physical contact with the other party.

Telekinesis:
Through the power of their mind, Akiko is able to move anything at their whim. From mundane, practical things like fetching a plate of cookies or opening a door when both hands are full, to throwing their foes hundreds of feet away with a single wave of their hand. This skill is incredibly versatile, and as such they use it more often than many of their godly abilities, as it really does just make things far simpler. The options are really quite limitless. That said, exceptionally strong beings can resist or even break the psychic grip, rendering this ability essentially useless against them.

Dimensional Doorway: By fiddling with a variety of different dimensional abilities that they've seen over their long life, they became able to create their own variation allowing them to travel to any destination in the multiverse. The only catch is, unless they've been there before they won't be able to pinpoint a location. So most of the time they're just bouncing between worlds at random with no sense of direction. It certainly makes things interesting at the very least.

Healing:
A staple of Akiko’s Divinity. They can remove things like curses, heal injuries and even cure ailments like poison, blindness, deafness and muteness. They may also use it to revive the dead; but they’d rather not unless the death was unjust and should be reversed.

Akiko’s shrine sits atop a big hill and its property spans the entire thing. The courtyard at the top of the cobble stairs leading to the shrine is made of red brick and if one looks to the right, after entering through the red gateway, they can see a small red wooden gate. This leads to a tranquil zen garden with a spring inside. It has a few chairs situated around it. It’s a really great place for casual conversations.

At the back of the shrine, you can find a storage shed as well as a small fire pit surrounded by four chairs. Perfect for get togethers.

Once you head inside, you’ll find yourself in a furnished living room with three recliners, four tables and two couches. It even has a fire place and a flat screen TV, which, mind you; is mounted on the wall. Half of the Living Room is divided into what is called the Recreation Room. Here is where people can play video games on a variety of consoles, research things on a computer and even play Pool.

And then there’s a corner of the Living Room dedicated to Dave. It has a beautiful black Grand Piano and a couple of the other things he’s collected during the past few months. If he’s not out exploring the town or in his room sleeping, you can find him here playing the night away.

Further inside and you’ll find a long hallway. Located at the end is the Master Bathroom. It can safely fit 30 people. There’s a massive hot spring inside as well as smaller side rooms that house private bathes. A door on the right leads to a room with toilets, each one hidden behind a door that can be locked.

Before getting to the bathroom, there’s a door on the right that leads to the Master Kitchen. Inside are two refrigerators and three freezers. There are also two stoves and a large amount of counter space. Perfect for a person who loves cooking like Akiko.

On the opposite side is the dining hall. A massive long room with a huge table and various chairs located on each side. A chandelier hangs above it.
After those two rooms, you can find a stair case that leads upwards. This is where all the bedrooms are. There’s sixteen in all. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed, two dressers, a lamp, a decent sized closet and a book case. Currently only fourteen are available for guests, as the first two are occupied by Akiko and their roommate who is rarely home, Dave.

Finally you can reach the balcony which is located at the end of the hallway containing the bedrooms. The balcony offers a beautiful view of Vasteria and even has a roof, so that you may sit out there and relax even if it’s raining.

In the end, Akiko has one hell of a beautiful shrine and they’re always welcoming of guests. It is a big place after all and Dave isn’t there 24/7, so it can still get quite lonely at times.

Now, when a willing person decides to become a Shrine Priest or Shrine Maiden for Akiko, the god can make it so in a number of ways. Generally speaking, though, they will bestow a portion of their power onto the potential priest/maiden, granting them a level of divine power. Other gods may not be as generous, either granting no power or simply bestowing upon them a fancy name tag. Now, this portion of the god’s power is generally referred to as a Divine Essence, and those given that kind of power are afforded a few benefits.

The most critical of these is an increased lifespan, with some gods simply doubling or tripling the human’s lifespan, or even more. It really all depends on how long the god in question wishes for the maiden or priest to serve. In the case of Akiko, they tend to like keeping their employees as long as possible, and drastically enhance the lifespan of their priest or maiden, up to a 2,000 year total lifespan. Secondly, the divine energy enhances the priest or priestess to demigod levels of power, granting them an increased level of strength, speed, reflexes, durability, etc. The level of which is generally determined by the choice and strength of the god in question. Thirdly, by holding the power of a god the Shrine Priest or Shrine Maiden gains the power to conjure and manipulate holy energy, with which they can form projectiles, create barriers, and in some cases heal the sick and wounded. And lastly, they usually receive some power tied to the god or goddess granting them this strength. In Akiko’s case, they can bestow some degree of mimicry onto their priest or maiden, giving that person the ability to mimic something to some degree. This could mean granting them a transformation, the power to access the skills and moves of some character. Or it could mean the power to mimic a weapon, or perhaps a fighting style. it all really depends on Akiko’s mood and the person’s desires.

It’s a pretty good deal, honestly. What basically amounts to a shitload of super powers, and all the person has to do in return is a bit of housekeeping. Well, maybe the responsibilities are a bit more than just that.

The Shrine Priest or Maiden must keep the shrine clean and tidy, the difficulty there lies in the size of the shrine. Some shrines are large and take awhile, other shrines are small and take minutes. Thankfully, the newly acquired superpowers usually help the person taking on the job perform it quite well. Akiko’s shrine is pretty big though… So good luck. In addition to that, the priest or maiden must manage the donation box and greet visitors. Two simple responsibilities, but nonetheless important.

But hey, if that does sound like a lot of work, there are some other perks. Akiko likes to give their priest or maiden a couple weeks out of the year off, and let’s them stay at the shrine free of charge. Which includes ridiculously delicious meals. If that still isn’t enough, there is incentive to work hard, as the person’s paycheck comes in the form of a portion of the donations in the box. Again, the amount is generally decided by the god, while some will give their priest or maiden little and some may give a lot, Akiko has chosen the middle route with the priest or maiden geting half the contents of the donation box. It sounds pretty good, considering the person doesn’t have to pay for food or shelter.

Name: Seija Kijin

Age: 894

Species: Amanojaku

Eye Color: Red

Hair Color: Black /w red and white highlights.

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Height:
5'7"

Personality

At first glance, Seija doesn’t have a very inviting personality.

She’s rude, manipulative and doesn’t care for anyone around her. Every single one of her subordinates is a pawn and the rules are just things meant to be broken. Mortality wise…she’s a hopeless case.

Or so it may seem. You see, Seija is an Amanojaku. This means she must act opposite of the world around her. If the world is peaceful, she is violence. If it is in order, she must spread chaos. If someone is kind to her, she will respond with hatred.

So in this case, one can make the argument that she’s doing simply what’s natural to her. Still, this doesn’t excuse her actions and the way she looks down on others. But it does explain them.

If you were forced to live a life where you had to be completely opposite of the world around you, would you be able to withstand it? She’s had to utterly break people she genuinely cared about. She’s had to destroy everything precious to her simply because she couldn’t exist in harmony with it. No matter how much she tried to fight it, her natural instincts were too powerful.

This is what gave rise to the Seija we know today. She has accepted her role and does what she needs to survive. It’s not that she approves of what she does -though she has grown to enjoy it over the years - It’s that if she doesn’t go along with it, the mental war that ensued would no doubt break her.

That said, if you somehow manage to withstand her abrasive personality, you may just get her to open up a bit. Just know that it would require throwing massive amounts of “hatred” her way. If you try to be nice and loving, you’ll just hurt her. Because to someone like her, love is hate and hate is love. Be sure to keep that in mind when interacting with her. Because one wrong move and you might make an enemy out of someone you were intending to befriend.

Combat Capabilities

Reversal: A staple of her Amanojaku heritage. With this she is capable of reversing the direction of any object she chooses. Be it turning a person upside down, turning an attack back at it’s caster or even inverting an entire room so that everything is backwards. It’s what makes her such a tricky person to fight, because essentially: Anything within her line of sight is her playground.

Flight: Seija has the ability to fly. While not uncommon in Gensokyo, she is one of the few who can fly at full speed while facing backwards due to her ability.

Strength: Seija has the average level of strength for a youkai. Basically, she’s stronger than any average human, but weaker than any super powered youkai. So while she could lift a full sized person and toss them a few dozen feet into the air, she can’t punch her way through a wall - easily that is - or hurl trees around like stronger youkai and Oni do.

Speed: To the normal human, Seija is pretty quick on her feet. At max speed she could probably run 120 MPH. Which is pretty pathetic when you compare it to what the more impressive residents of Gensokyo can do with just a casual jaunt.
